Overall, I think the videos are helpful and worth watching, but a few of the lessons move faster than they should. It’s decent for the price, but it would be much better if they slowed down and explained things a little more clearly.

I’ve been using Heimler's History mostly for AP history stuff, and it’s been really solid. The explanations just feel like they go a bit deeper in a good way, not just random facts thrown at you, and that helped me actually get why things were happening.

There were definitely a few times where I felt kind of overwhelmed and had to pause or watch something again. It’s not exactly a bad thing, because the information is good, but sometimes it just feels like a lot coming at you all at once.

Overall, I’d say it’s clear and helpful most of the time, and I have a strong positive feeling about it. I’m giving it 4 stars because some parts could be slowed down or split up more, but it’s still something I’d keep using.

I used this alongside my history class, i’m glad I did. Some of the topics that felt confusing in lectures started to click a lot more. It’s not perfect, but I would’ve felt like I was leaving easy help on the table if I hadn’t used it. Definitely worth it for the extra support.

I’ve used heimlershistory.com a handful of times when my AP history homework started making my brain feel like mashed potatoes. The videos are way easier to follow than my textbook, and I could actually get through my notes faster without rereading the same paragraph five times. Also, unrelated, but I kept watching one video while making a snack and somehow burned my toast, so that part was on me.

The only thing is I still had to double-check a few details to make sure they matched what my teacher wanted for class, because every teacher has their own little rules about wording and examples. But overall, it was really solid and helped me get unstuck when I was tired and just trying to finish homework before bed.

I was kind of rushing through stuff and usually lose focus fast, but Heimler actually kept me interested and paying attention the whole time.

Some of the videos do move fast, though, and I had to pause and rewind a lot. Not the worst thing ever, but when you’re already tired and trying to cram, it gets annoying. Whoever runs this could maybe chill the pace just a little.

Overall, it’s a solid resource. It made history feel less like a punishment, and that’s saying something. I’d give it 4 stars.

The examples were pretty clear and easy to follow, which helped because LEQs can feel really overwhelming. I still had to do a lot of practice on my own though, and I’m not totally sure every section was as detailed or high-quality as it could’ve been. Some parts felt a bit surface-level. Still, it made the whole LEQ process feel less intimidating overall.

My account access is reliable, it loads quickly most of the time, and I’m not constantly getting kicked out or dealing with weird random error messages, which is a huge plus. There was one time it felt a little slow?? But it sorted itself out quickly, so not a big deal. Overall, it’s been easy to get to my stuff when I need it!!

Not gonna lie, the APUSH study guide was way more helpful than I expected. It explained things in a much simpler way than my textbook, and it lined up well with the videos too.
